About the Journal

The Journal of Awqaf, Zakat and Hajj (Jawhar) is an academic journal that aims to publish academic articles on the administration of awqaf, zakat, hajj and umrah as well as the Malaysia Public Administration which covers but not limited  to the following topics such as policy development, strategic policy, human resource management, policy implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The journal, available in print and online, was previously published annually in December; however, beginning in 2025, its publication frequency will increase to biannual issues released in June and December.  The Journal of Awqaf, Zakat and Hajj (JAWHAR) will provide fast access to high-quality papers and platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners, government agencies, organisations and the public. All articles will go through a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality of the articles. The peer review process in this journal involves the assessment of submitted manuscripts by one or more experts in the relevant field. The review is conducted to determine the manuscript’s academic merit and its suitability for publication.

Journal Specification

The Journal of Awqaf, Zakat, and Hajj (Jawhar) is registered in MyJurnal, an online system by the Citation and Infometric Division, the Higher Education Department, MoHE. MyJurnal indexes Malaysian journals and provides bibliographic data and full-text articles across various disciplines, including Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Medical & Health Sciences, Sciences and Social Sciences.
